Field Mouse Art

I have been working on a little artistic side project this year. I came up with the concept of the little field mouse who loves flowers last winter. Originally, the idea was to create a character for a children’s story, but gradually I discovered I was more interested in depicting singular adventures of the little


  Flowers speak a language, though that language expresses different things across cultures. While a symbol of honour and wealth in China, the peony expressed shame in the Victorian language of flowers.


I am fascinated with both language and flowers, so naturally I absolutely love the Victorian concept of a language of flowers. And so, in light of the arrival of Spring, here is a sweet posy-filled infographic on which flowers say what!
